Significance
The Quran calls this night “better than a thousand months” (Surah al-Qadr). Worship on this night carries immense reward. Because its exact night is hidden, the Prophet ﷺ told believers to seek it across the odd nights of the last ten (21, 23, 25, 27, 29).

Muslims spend the night in prayer, Quran, dhikr and dua, and many perform I’tikaf (spiritual retreat) in the mosque during the last ten days.
